It could get tedious to add transactions in the bank register one by one. That’s why SQUAVA added this import feature that allows users to load transactions in bulk using a CSV file. This is helpful when you have multiple transactions that you have exported from another software.
This article will guide you through how to use the Import feature in the Bank Register, so you can save time and maintain accurate records with ease.
Step-by-Step Guide:
-
Overview
To import transactions, click the three-dot menu located at the far right of the Bank Register page. From the dropdown menu, select Import to begin uploading your CSV file.
A pop-up window will appear where you can choose a CSV file to upload and match the columns in your file.
-
Upload .CSV file
Click the “choose” button to browse and choose the file from your computer. Make sure that the file you wish to import is a CSV file. Click on that file and select Open.
-
Match columns in the import file
After choosing the CSV file, you will then be asked to match the columns in your CSV file. It is helpful to make headers in your file so it’s easier to match them with the default headings on the bank register. These are the column headers you can match with: Date, Check No, Payee / Payor, Account, Memo, Amount, Withdrawal, and Deposit.
Once matched, you can now click Import.
SUCCESS!!!
