After importing multiple transactions into your bank or credit card account, it can become challenging to locate specific entries or groups of transactions. That’s where the Filter function comes in.
The filter tool allows you to narrow down and display only the transactions that meet your selected criteria. You can apply multiple filters—such as status, date range, or amount—so that only transactions matching all selected conditions are shown. This is especially useful when you want to:
• View only reconciled transactions
• Identify those that need action
• Focus on transactions within a specific date range
This article will guide you through how to navigate and make the most of the Filter function in the Bank Register.
Step-by-Step Guide:
Overview
The Search and Filter feature makes it easier to locate specific transactions within your selected bank or credit card account. You can search by keywords or amount and apply filters such as date range, amount range, transaction type, and more. You can also combine multiple filters to narrow down results even further—perfect for identifying reconciled transactions, pending actions, or entries within a specific timeframe. You'll find the Search and Filter panel on the far right of the Bank Register page, just below the Cleared Balance widget.
When you click on the filter button, it will show a pop-up window of filter criteria. You can filter by date range, amount range, type, invoice number, and many more.
Apply a Single Filter or Multiple filters
The Filter function in the Bank Register—just like filters on other pages—allows you to apply one or multiple filters at the same time. When a single filter is applied, the filter indicator will display only that specific criterion. As you add more filters, the indicator updates to reflect all active criteria, helping you quickly identify the scope of your filtered view.
You can add additional filter criteria or select multiple filters at once. Simply click the Filter button again and apply the filters you need. These filters are flexible—you can update or remove them anytime to adjust your view.To remove a filter, just click on the “x” icon next to the filter indicator.
To remove all filters, select “Clear Filters” at the end of the filter indicator.
